 Hi and welcome to Vanaheim SVs.

We are a small but successful establishment located in the South Island of New Zealand, striving to breed harmonious Swedish Vallhunds that are correct to the Breed Standard.  Having fallen in love with the Vastgotaspets intelligence, loyalty and trainability, our aims are to retain the Swedish Vallhunds many qualities, while paying particular attention to temperament, health and type. We are thrilled to have had the opportunity to incorporate a number of imported bloodlines over the years from respected kennels in Sweden, Finland, England, Ireland, Australia and NZ.

Vanaheim is breeder and exhibitor of some of New Zealands most consistent winning Swedish Vallhunds since 2003, having owned or bred

• Multiple Class in Group Winners,

We are proud to be home to New Zealands 2008 National Show Intermediate Class in Group Winner, NZ CH Valkrista Alatna.  Leading the way and making history for the breed here under Swedish Judge Mr Paul Stanton. 

Vanaheim Swedish Vallhunds are engaged in activities from Herding, Obedience, Agility, Rally-O and Showing to Companions that fit naturally into the family home.

We Hip Score and Eye Test our breeding dogs and are registered with the NZKC.

Hi there,  we are all good and Charlie has grown heaps !!!

She is such a delight and so bright :0) We get lots of compliments from our neighbours and people we come across on our walks.
Her favourite walk is the one in the riverbed.  We go out for a play with the ball and she is getting really good at bringing it back et... My friend says she would be really good in agility when she is old enough.
